Chicken Lasagna

Ingredients

Roux Sauce

  • 1 White Onion
  • 1/2 cube Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • Generous 1/2 cup Flour
  • 2 cups Liquid Chicken Stock
  • 2 cups Cream
  • 1 1/2 big handfuls Chopped Spinach
  • 1 cup Chopped Bacon

Cheese Sauce

  • 16 oz Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Eggs

Lasagna

  • Shredded Chicken
  • Optional Shrimp
  • Roux Sauce
  • Cheese Sauce
  • Lasagna Noodles

Directions

Step 1 – Roux Sauce

Dice and then sauté onions in a pot

Step 2

Add butter and let melt butter, mix in flour

Step 3

Add chicken stock, and stir for one minute

Step 4

Add cream, and let simmer for about one minute

Step 5

Add chopped spinach and bacon. Let Spinach melt down

Step 6

Cheese Sauce
In a bowl add ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and egg

Step 7 

Lasagna
Heat oven or smoker to 375 degrees fahrenheit

Step 8

In pan light layer of Roux Sauce

Step 9

Layer of noodles (¾ the way cooked). Tip: leave noodles in cool water until ready to use

Step 10

Layer of Cheese Sauce

Step 11

Thick layer of cooked shredded chicken (shrimp if wanted)

Step 12

Repeat steps 2-5. Then add another layer of Roux Sauce

Step 13

Put in oven at 375 for 30 minutes

Step 14

Take out and add mozzarella cheese. Cook for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden

Step 15
