Clam Chowder


  • Potatoes
  • Bacon
  • White Onion
  • Butter
  • Half & Half
  • Whole Milk
  • Cornstarch
  • Shrimp
  • 2 cans Clams
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cajun seasoning


Step 1

Make a roux – heat up butter & add cornstarch. While stirring slowly add the half & half

Step 2

After the cornstarch is mixed in & smooth add the rest of the milk

Step 3

Dice potatoes & sauté in butter until about half way cooked (still firm) sprinkle with white pepper and salt. Add to the pot

Step 4

Cut up bacon and cook in the frying pan (save grease for onions) add to the pot

Step 5

Cut up onions and sauté in bacon grease & then add to the pot

Step 7

Sauté clams in butter or bacon grease and add to the pot

Step 8

Season with cajun, salt & pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes and serve.
