Philly Cheesesteak with Special Sauce

Thinly sliced seasoned steak, smoked with onions, red, orange, green and yellow bell peppers placed on a grilled bun smothered in special sauce.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1.5 lbs ribeye
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 yellow onion

Mind-Blowing Special Sauce

  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 3/4 C Salted butter
  • 8 oz Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 8 oz Pepper jack cheese
  • 8 oz Mozzarella
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Ground mustard

Directions

Step 1

Cut peppers, onions and mushrooms into thin slices

Step 2

Put prime rib in freezer for half an hour for easier slicing, then slice thin

Step 3

Put butter on flat grill, turn up to medium high, and start sautéing

Step 4

Season medium thick with smoked paprika, salt, pepper, garlic, and montreal steak seasoning

Step 5

Cook until vegetables until onions are translucent or light brown

Step 6

Remove vegetables and place thin slices of prime rib on buttered flat grill on medium high

Step 7

Season meat evenly with salt, pepper, garlic, smoked paprika, and montreal steak seasoning

Step 8

Cook slices 5-7 minutes each side and slice into thin strips

Step 9

Mix meat in with the vegetables and smoke for 45 minutes at 250F (put cheese on top at 30 minutes if desired)

Step 10

Make sauce with 2 cups of milk, ½ block of philadelphia cream cheese, ¾ cube of butter, 1 ½ cup pepper jack cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, 1 teaspoon cayenne, 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning, and ¼ cup flour OR corn starch

Step 11

Put milk, cream cheese, butter, and seasoning in a saucepan on medium heat and whisk ingredients together add flour

Step 12

Once the mixture is starting to boil add cheese.

Step 13

After sauce is well melted and mixed put on the smoker in bread pan, or other smoker safe pan

Step 14

Toast preferred bread and put meat/vegetable mixture on, put a healthy dose of cheese sauce on and eat until you can’t walk
