Smoked McRib


  • Pork Ribs
  • Mustard
  • White Onion
  • Pickles
  • French Bread
  • Honey Habanero Seasoning
  • Maple Bourbon Seasoning
  • Butter
  • Bacon Grease
  • BBQ Sauce


Step 1

Remove rib membrane off the back of the rack of ribs

Step 2

Rub a thin layer of mustard on each side of the ribs

Step 3

Season each side of ribs evenly with honey habanero seasoning

Step 4

Season each side of ribs evenly with maple bourbon seasoning

Step 5

Heat smoker up to 230F

Step 6

Smoke for 2 1/2 hours then remove ribs

Step 7

Mix ½ cup of bbq sauce, ½ cup of bacon grease, and ½ cup of melted butter

Step 8

Bone side up, pour mixture over the ribs evenly

Step 9

Wrap ribs in tin foil and smoke for 2 ½ more hours. Remove the Ribs from the smoker

Step 10

Pull rib bones out, spread bbq sauce on ribs and smoke at 275F for 20 minutes

Step 11

Slice onions and pickles

Step 12

Spread some BBQ sauce on both sides of the french bread

Step 13

Put ribs, pickles, onions and other desired toppings in sandwich
