Smoked Prime Rib “Christmas Eve”
Ingredients
- Olive Oil
Seasoning
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic Seasoning
- Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning
Coating
- 1 cube Butter
- 1/2 cup Bacon Grease
- 1 1/2 Minced Garlic
- Horseradish Sauce
Directions
Step 1
Prep: trim the fat a little and if desired remove the bones. Set the smoker to 250 degrees Fahrenheit
Step 2
Rub: it all over with Olive Oil
Step 3
Season: it with Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Montreal Steak Seasoning. Sprinkle it on all sides then pat lightly & let rest for 45 minutes
Step 4
Cover the prime rib with the coating mix of butter, bacon grease, diced garlic, horseradish & Montreal Steak Seasoning
Step 5
Smoke at 250 for 2 ½ – 3 hours until the internal temperature of your prime rib reaches 125
Step 6
Take out and let prime rib rest for 30/40 minutes. This keeps the juice contained
Step 7
Slice the Prime Rib and serve with horseradish. Feed your neighbors 🙂
